OREANDA-NEWS. On March 1st NetCom, TeliaSonera’s main brand in Norway, will change its name to Telia. This is a natural step following the integration of Tele2 and Netcom that has been well executed during the last year. Being part of the main brand benefits both consumers and enterprise customers, and the Norwegian society as whole.

“During the last two years, we have built the fastest and widest reaching 4G network in Norway and it now covers 96 percent of the population. We are ready to look even further ahead, and our Norwegian customers will see hard proofs of this very soon,” says Robert Andersson, Head of Region Europe.

“We now visualize that we are part of the largest mobile operator in the Nordics, who develops digital services and knowledge across borders. Since mobile communications entered Norway we have been in the forefront of the technological evolution, but the most important changes are yet to come,” says Abraham Foss, CEO Netcom.

“We must be in the forefront and team up with our customers and partners, in order to drive the technological development forward. We will move from being a standard mobile operator to a digital company, delivering unique customer experiences,” continues Abraham Foss.
