OREANDA-NEWS. February 29, 2016. Ryder
System, Inc. (NYSE:R), a leader in commercial
fleet management, dedicated
transportation, and supply
chain solutions, presented its Service Excellence Awards to
top-performing carriers at its sixth annual Mexican Carrier Recognition
Event at the Hotel Westin Santa Fe in Mexico City. Twenty Mexican
trucking companies were recognized for their excellence in several key
performance areas, such as safety and security, on-time performance,
customer service, and continuous improvement for the last full calendar
year.
“The support we receive from our Mexican carriers has a direct impact on
our ability to fulfill commitments to our customers in the United
States,” said
Gene Sevilla, Vice President of Ryder International Supply
Chain Solutions. “Ryder’s operations in Mexico have become fundamental
to the growth of our global Supply Chain Solutions business, and that
success wouldn’t be possible without a reliable and high quality group
of Mexican carrier companies. Our Mexican carrier partners are
responsible for some of the most complex elements of our supply chain
solutions. Our annual Mexican Carrier Awards allows us to recognize them
for going above and beyond to ensure that goods are moved in a safe,
timely, and efficient manner.”
Ryder works with a wide range of carrier companies in Mexico. The
carrier companies were evaluated according to four major criteria:
safety, overall capabilities, financial billing with Ryder, and
participation in Ryder accounts. For the 2015 period, twenty winners
were chosen from among a pool of eligible Mexican carrier companies. The
following were the Ryder Service Excellence Awards winners:
