At the end of 2015 the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" held the next (second annual) study on "Preservation of the residual value of the car”, in which there were calculated indexes of residual value and it was made a rating of models by segments and it was identified brands-leaders in price ranges "Standard" and "Premium".

The leader of the price range “Standard" for the second consecutive year is Toyota (it keeps 91.12% of the initial value). In second place - Volkswagen (90,38%), the third place - Renault (87,50%).

The leader of the price range of "Premium" is Porsche brand (84,82%). Behind him there is Land Rover (74,50%), and the top three is closed by the last year's leader - Audi (72,53%).

We should note that for the analysis it was used a price of new car in 2012 and its resale price in 2015 (both - in rubles). Then, there were calculated the indices of residual value, and it was formed the rating of models by segments. During the creation of the rankings there were calculated figures by 2200 modifications (including body type, engine size and transmission type) of more than 50 brands of cars, formally presented in the Russian market. At the same time we take into account the volume of sales in the whole of Russia and we excluded models that had volumes below certain minimum values for each of the segments.
