Acura to release radically restyled 2017 MDX at New York Auto Show
While we only have one picture to work with, it's immediately evident that big changes are coming to Acura's biggest crossover. First and foremost, its new look removes the beak-like grille of the past and replaces it with something that's far closer to the Acura Precision Concept that debuted in Detroit.
There was also mention in the press release of its powertrain falling in like with the brand's new "Precision Crafted Performance" tagline. That could mean anything from a muscular gas engine to a hybrid system similar to the new NSX. Either way, don't expect the old 3.5-liter V-6 to be the only engine on offer in this new model.
The New York International Auto Show's media days begin on March 23.
