OREANDA-NEWS. Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management and automation, today flagged off the first day of Elecrama-2016 by showcasing its technological expertise and unveiling several new products, concepts and some of their existing star products in Hall 2A. With ‘Efficiency’ as the core theme of the SE India stall this year, the products and solutions displayed are in line with the Government’s vision to reduce Transmission and Distribution (T&D) losses and achieving the objective of 24X7 power to all by 2020.

The key highlight of the day was the inauguration ceremony of Schneider Electric’s stall (Hall 2A) by Sri. Hemant Sharma, IAS, Chairman – OPTCL alongwith, Mr Anil Chaudhry, MD & Country President, Schneider Electric India. During the five-day event, the organization will have a series of product launches for each of its verticals catering to segments like Energy Efficiency, Automation and Smart Metering. Schneider Electric’s theme ‘Efficiency’ at Elecrama also reinforces its commitment of ensuring access to energy that is safe, reliable, connected, sustainable through its ongoing brand campaign Life Is ON.

Speaking at the occasion Mr. Hemant Sharma, IAS, Chairman OPTCL said, “It gives me immense pleasure to be a part of this world class one-of- its kind show that brings together the entire power sector ecosystem under one roof. Sharing his thoughts and expectations from ELECRAMA 2016, Mr Anil Chaudhry, MD & Country President, Schneider Electric India, said, “The 12th edition of ELECRAMA comes at a time when the energy sector in India has generated a lot of interest with the Government of India’s goal of providing 24X7 power for all. Among the products and offerings showcased by Schneider Electric India on day 1 included its new metering offer PM8000 to simplify power quality, the VarPlus Logic APFC relay for simple and efficient operation of automatic power factor correction equipment, and the ATV processor & new high-end Modicon M580 Ethernet programmable automation controller (ePAC) with hot standby functionality (HSBY) and the M171 – IDCOM offering under the industry business.
