OREANDA-NEWS. Ministry of Industry will support the production of gas engine vehicles in 2016, said Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Alexander Morozov.

At a recent meeting in Nizhny Novgorod at the Gorky Automobile Plant on the development of the Russian market of gas fuel and stimulate of supply and demand for NGV equipment, applying the mechanisms of state support, Alexander Morozov told about measures of Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade to support the NGV equipment. In particular, the Office has prepared and placed for public discussion the draft resolution of the Russian government, according to which in 2016 for grants may apply automakers of NGV vehicles in case of providing the fixed prices for customers. It will allow to use more efficient the budgetary resources to expand the use of natural gas as a motor fuel, to be more responsive to the changing needs of the regions, municipalities and carriers.

In 2016, under this program it is planned to provide grants for the purchase of approximately 1,300 buses and 400 trucks, for which it is planned to allocate from the federal budget 3 billion rubles.
According to Alexander Morozov, in 2015, it was accepted the relevant decree by the Russian government and order about the allocation of 3 billion rubles for the purchase of 1636 NGV transport units by 23 regions. In general, the Russian vehicle manufacturers developed more than 50 kinds of gas vehicles in all categories: passenger cars (pass the certification procedure), trucks, buses, LCV. It was developed the production of the main components for the gas engine vehicles.
