Mobile World Congress 2016 – Take a digital walk on the beach with Deutsche Telekom
"Join the leading network in Europe." is Deutsche Telekom’s theme for this year’s Mobile World Congress – the world’s largest mobile services trade fair, which will take place in Barcelona from February 22-25. Deutsche Telekom will take over 1,000 square meters in hall 3, presenting itself as a competent digitization partner.
Deutsche Telekom’s trade fair focus is connectivity, with special emphasis on the new communication standard, 5G. Other topics include Pan-Net, the European network of Deutsche Telekom, as well as European Aviation Network for internet access on airplanes.
Digital business in Europe has never been so easy. Deutsche Telekom’s booth is designed to convey this fact with an easy and open atmosphere. Slightly tapered steps that lead toward a sprawling ocean view are part of the beach inspired set. A path leads visitors along the dunes and on to the innovations displayed throughout the exhibit.
Digital waves roll softly along the booth’s walls, and magenta colored kites sway above the visitors’ heads. Clients and guests can gather information across a total of four topic islands.
Highlight of the brand’s fair presence is the interactive installation that extends across the beach vista, created by renowned light artist Moritz Waldemeyer. Changing colors and sounds create a varying ambience, during which each of the booth components, from the beach to the skies, are illuminated in different light sequences. Even the personnel’s clothing is part of the light installation, offering a glimpse into the world of wearable technologies.
