McKesson Specialty Health Solution Center Wins Prestigious Award in Big Business Category
“The Sterling Award validates the success of our ongoing efforts to be a good corporate citizen in the Scottsdale community, as well as provide an excellent working environment where our employees can succeed and flourish,” said William P. Nolan, vice president & general manager, Reimbursement, Access & Safety Services for McKesson Specialty Health. “Our company’s ICARE (Integrity, Customer-First, Accountability, Respect and Excellence) core values were the driving force throughout the application process. Judges visited our facility and witnessed our ICARE values in action. That’s what makes this recognition even more rewarding.”
The Sterling Award is the culmination of a long and rigorous selection process. Four teams of judges each conduct an initial review of all applications and narrow the field to three finalists in each category. Applicants are judged on values and goals, company culture, uniqueness, contributions to the community, creativity and innovation, adaptability, and evidence of success, among other criteria. Once the finalists are identified, the judging teams visit those companies to conduct a personal interview and receive a behind-the-scenes look at the company. Each judge then independently determines points for the finalists based on their embodiment of the award criteria, and the points are tallied to determine the winner.
