Corporate publications of NPO Saturn are rated among the bes
OREANDA-NEWS. A corporate magazine published by UEC’s Commercial Engines division “TrampoLEAN to success” and Saturn’s corporate newspaper have been voted among the best publications issued by industrial companies. The rating was compiled by a recognized business portal “Production management” based on the results of non-commercial publications and the readers’ curiosity level (number of views) in 2015. The rating was administered in two main categories: TOP 10 best corporate magazines issued by industrial companies and TOP 10 best corporate newspapers issued by industrial companies; the rating was also built for different industrial categories, i.e. TOP 10 best publications in the field of metallurgy, mechanical engineering, energy, oil and gas and Russia’s defense and industrial complex.
The newcomer magazine “TrampoLEAN to success” showed excellent results in three categories all at once: second runner-up among the best corporate magazines and the winner in the “Mechanical engineering” and “Russia’s defense and industrial complex” categories. The Saturn corporate newspaper also made it to TOP 1O of the “Russia’s defense and industrial complex” nomination. Among the competitors there were the likes of publications issued by Gazprom Neft, the Sukhoi Company, Novolipetskiy Metallurgical Works, United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), the Rosatom State Corporation, RUSAL, KAMAZ, UMPO, Power Machines, Inter RAO, Rushydro, etc.
The first issue of the “TrampoLEAN to success” discipline-related magazine saw the light back in 2014. The magazine serves as a medium for exchanging the experience in the field of lean manufacturing and program-project management implementation among the three companies in the Commercial Engine division: NPO Saturn, UEC-Perm Motors and Aviadvigatel. The project was inspired and brought to reality by the public relations department and production system development department of NPO Saturn.
Research and production association Saturn [NPO Saturn] (PJSC) is an engine-manufacturing company specialized in the design and development, production and after-market support of gas turbine engines for military and commercial aviation, naval ships and power-generating plants and gas-pumping units. The association is part of the Union of Russian Mechanical Engineers, an All-Russian public organization.
NPO Saturn is part of United Engine Corporation (JSC) and acts as the leader of the Commercial Engines division, a business unit of UEC founded on 09.10.2012 as a result of integration of the following companies: NPO Saturn (PJSC), Aviadvigatel (OJSC), UEC-PM (JSC), Metallist-PM (CJSC), Energetik-PM (OJSC), Motoservis-PM (CJSC) and Zheleznodorozhnik-PM (JSC).
