(NYSE:AVT), a leading global technology distributor, today announced that Wade McDaniel, vice president of supply chain solutions, Avnet Velocity, will be a featured speaker at the Institute of Business Forecasting & Planning (IBF) Supply Chain Forecasting & Planning Conference. McDaniel will present a session titled “A Big Data Approach to Risk-Adjusted Supply Chain Management.” The event will be held at DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel Paradise Valley in Scottsdale, Ariz., February 21-23, 2016.

During his session on Monday, February 22, at 2:10 p.m. MST, McDaniel will discuss how to meet customer demands and better manage inventory in anticipation of supply chain disruptions. In addition, he will provide an understanding of the types of data that can mitigate supply chain risk and best practices for developing a risk-adjusted supply network.

His expertise includes supply chain engineering, supply chain finance, warehouse management and worldwide transportation logistics.
