OREANDA-NEWS. Idemitsu Saison Microfinance (Cambodia) Plc. (Location: Battambang City, the Kingdom of Cambodia; Representative: Koichi Watanabe; hereinafter referred to as “the Company”), a subsidiary with investments by Idemitsu Credit Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Sumida-ku, Tokyo; President: Kaoru Hashimoto), today held its opening ceremony in conjunction with the start of operations.

In order to contribute to the economic development of Cambodia through the modernization of agriculture and the improvement of farmers’ living standards promoted by the Cambodian government, the Company launched its financing services and installment payment services, mainly for the agricultural sector on January 20 this year, and so held its opening ceremony.

The opening ceremony was attended by about 90 guests including H.E. Kim Vada, Director General of Banking Supervision of National Bank of Cambodia, H.E. Chan Sophal, Chairman of the Provincial Governing Board of Battambang Province, H.E. Yuji Kumamaru, Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Cambodia, and the Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC), the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, etc.

The Company will provide financing services and installment payment services for individual goods that meet various financial needs mainly in the agricultural sector in Cambodia.
