Automobili Lamborghini is "Top Employer Italia 2016"
The Top Employer certification program is a process lasting about a year; after a structured investigation and verification procedure in which nine criteria are considered – including salary policies, working conditions and benefits, training and professional growth, career opportunities and corporate culture – only companies that attain the highest scores are awarded the certification.
Automobili Lamborghini President and CEO Stephan Winkelmann commented, "The Top Employer certification endorses our investment and belief in Human Resources, which is a cornerstone to facing challenges in the immediate future, such as the introduction of the third model and the doubling of the Sant'Agata Bolognese factory."
Umberto Tossini, Human Resources and Organization Manager at Automobili Lamborghini, added, "Motivation and attractiveness are different faces of the same coin. They are the starting point of many initiatives concerning care of our people – ensuring personal wellbeing – and important collaborations with universities and schools, to make working and academic life meet."
Lamborghini currently counts 1,300 employees at its historic factory in Sant'Agata Bolognese. 2015 was an extraordinary year: as many as 150 highly-qualified technicians and specialists were employed. In the last five years, Lamborghini hired almost 600 people through open-ended contracts.
The company is driven by its Ethical Responsibility: a virtuous circle of people management which aims for continuous improvement.
Automobili Lamborghini is focused on future generations and its home region: multiple collaborations with local institutions among which the DESI project plays a lead role. It promotes an innovative educational path based on the dual model, where scholastic education is combined with practical in-house training; thus students develop the skills needed to obtain both the secondary school diploma and qualifications for entering the job market. The first certificates will be awarded in July 2016, with the next project already underway.
Automobili Lamborghini is recognized as a model for union relations, based on uninterrupted dialogue, transparency and cooperation between the parties. This approach lead, in May 2015, to the renewal of the Integrative Company Contract, which offers better working conditions for staff in Sant'Agata Bolognese.
