CenturyLink appoints two top executives
OREANDA-NEWS. CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) today announces that Dean Douglas will join the company as president of sales and marketing and will report to Glen F. Post, III, chief executive officer and president. In addition, Bill Hurley has been named chief marketing officer, reporting to Douglas. Both executives will join the company Feb. 16.
In his new role, Douglas will be responsible for revenue generation for CenturyLink, driving long-term growth for the company in the business and consumer marketplaces.

We believe his experience will be a significant asset as we continue our transformation from a provider of traditional network communications to an integrated provider of IP-enabled network, cloud, hosting, and IT managed services solutions," Post said.
Douglas has more than 30 years of experience in the communications, entertainment and information technology sectors. He most recently served as CEO, Unify GmbH& Co. KG, a provider of software-based enterprise unified communications. He also has held leadership roles at Westcon Group, LCC International, IBM, Motorola, and Newleaf Entertainment.

As CMO, Hurley will be responsible for CenturyLink's marketing strategy and execution, and product management. Since March 2014, Hurley has served as CMO for Unify. Before working at Unify, he served as chief technology officer and chief information officer for Westcon, CIO Americas/Global CIO for Marsh & McLennan and a partner at Peppers & Rogers Group. He also worked for Mercedes-Benz USA for 12 years in a variety of capacities, including information technology, marketing and customer relationship management.
