OREANDA-NEWS. February 10, 2016. Ukraine will take part in the PISA 2018, an international survey which aims to evaluate education systems. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the corresponding decision №72-p.

Participation in this survey will allow Ukraine to assess the quality of school education compared with other countries, to track global trends in education development, and find out appropriate solutions in this field.

The assessment of participating countries in the PISA ranking (Programme for International Student Assessment) is based on the results of 15-year-olds by testing their skills in mathematics, science and reading. Ukraine has never participated in the PISA survey, the first test results of Ukrainian students will be available in 2018.

Since 2000, PISA tests take place every three years. More than 70 economies took part in the assessment in 2015

The Government has instructed the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to ensure participation of Ukraine in the PISA-2018 assessment. The Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment has been appointed responsible for this.
