OREANDA-NEWS. February 08, 2016. Russian Investigative Committee for Arkhangelsk District and the Nenets Autonomous Area's Koryazhma Inter-district Investigative Branch are investigating a suspected suicide of a woman an Ilim employee at one of its facilities on January 29th.

The investigation was launched following concerns from fellow employees who reported woman had been absent from workstation for an extended period of time. The remains of her body were subsequently found in the pulping section of the cardboard and paper production line.

"All lines of inquiry are currently being pursued" said Investigation unit head Dmitry Artemenko.

"We are truly shocked and saddened by the tragic circumstances of these events. We are working extremely close with the authorities and they have have our full support and cooperation in their investigation. We are in regular contact with her family and wish to extend them our deepest condolences during this extremely emotional time for all concerned" said Franz Marz Ilim Group CEO.
