OREANDA-NEWS. February 05, 2016. The decision on establishment of the unified information space (UIS) has been taken by Rosatom State Corporation management with the purpose of enhancing operational efficiency.    NIAEP JSC has been appointed as an Authorized Company responsible for the development and introduction of this system (NIAEP JSC is managing organization of ASE Group of Companies).   Rostov NPP Power Unit No 4 has been allocated as a pilot area for the implementation of the new project.

UIS means that all the participants involved in a power unit construction project, will be working within a unified information space. The first stage for UIS implementation will ensure access of Rostov NPP personnel to systems containing information on construction schedules and works procedure.   It will also enable tracking and monitoring the sequence of equipment procurement and deliveries to the site.   Besides, Rostov NPP will gain access to the cost formation and cost management system. In total, NIAEP JSC is prepared to ensure access to 28 IT products developed on the basis of Multi-D technology of complex engineering facilities planning and management.

"After it has been introduced at our NPP, the unified information space system will be established at other sites, - mentioned Andrey Salnikov, Director of Rostov NPP.  – We are aware that we are responsible for this project which will guarantee a well-balanced and competent approach".

It is assumed that in the future the UIS membership will unite both the customer’s and subcontractors’ personnel and suppliers, investors and specialists from Rostekhnadzor (State Technical Supervisory Authority) and Glavgosexpertiza (Board for State Expert Review).

"The unified information space which we have been generating will make  all the processes transparent, Valery Limarenko, President of NIAEP JSC, pointed out. – Besides, it will provide additional possibility for on-line coordination of the activities of all the participants involved in the project.   I am confident that these factors will have a positive effect both on the facility construction period and its cost.  This is for the first time that this project is being undertaken in this country.  A successful implementation of this project will open new vistas for our company and provide us with competitive advantage on both domestic and foreign markets".
