Bosch presents eBike Systems at f.re.e travel and leisure fair
Bavarian capital promotes eBikes
In Munich nearly 20 percent of journeys are currently made by bicycle, so compared with other German cities the Bavarian capital has the highest proportion of distances covered by bicycle. Many Munich cyclists use pedelecs. To take this development forward and ease pressure on roads and the environment, the city is investing € 30 million in promoting the purchase of battery-powered vehicles and setting up a battery-charging infrastructure from April 2016 onwards. Electromobility is high on the agenda at the f.re.e travel and leisure fair, too.
All the new products at a glance
This year a large number of eBike manufacturers are represented in the fair's bicycle section. “For eBikers and those who might like to become eBikers the fair is an opportunity to gain an overview of the latest trends and innovations before the season gets started,” says Tamara Winograd, Press spokeswoman for Bosch eBike Systems. At the f.re.e Bosch is presenting the Performance Line CX, a drive system that is sure to make eMountain bikers' hearts beat faster. “Sporting uses are gaining in popularity with eBikers, and the trend is here to stay. With the eMountain bike manufacturers and dealers are complementing their product portfolio and offer new opportunities and loads of action,” Winograd says.
Connected biking experiences
The new functions of the Nyon all-in-one on-board computer make eBiking even more fun. The MTB route profile takes eMountain bikers along remote roads and off-road routes. Thanks to the GPX import function, tours that you have planned yourself can be uploaded to the on-board computer by an app or an online portal to enable you to follow them. At Stand 235 the Bosch eBikes Systems team will show you how to plan tours with Nyon and eBike-connect.com.
On the f.re.e cycle track different eBike models with Bosch drive systems are available to test-ride extensively.
