Rimera Group’s Czech Plant MSA Commissioned a 1.3 Million Euro Testing Site for Low-Temperature Valves
OREANDA-NEWS. Having commissioned the testing site, the company has increased its production capacity by 25%, reduced production cycle and improved the quality of products.
The new MSA testing site is designed for checking low-temperature valves at temperatures as low as -196 °С. The site has equipment for water and pressure testing of valves under pressures up to 63 MPa (630 kgf/cm2). Low-temperature valves are used everywhere in the world at LPG terminals and in chemical industry. The new testing site has been built to meet growing demands of global and Russian markets for low-temperature valves.
"Having commissioned the testing site, we have completed the upgrade program for small and medium-diameter valve production launched in 2012. The purpose of upgrading Rimera Group’s Czech plant is to expand MSA’s manufacturing capabilities, add at least 25% to production capacity, reduce production cycle and improve the quality of products. The state-of-the-art equipment installed at the new site will help build up the production to 10,000 valves per year", says Vladimir Kononov, Rimera Group Executive Director and Chairman of the MSA Board.
It should be recalled that in 2012, with financial support from the Czech government and EU, ChelPipe Group shareholders initiated an investment project at MSA to upgrade its production capacities, worth over 17 million Euro. In 2013, as part of the upgrade program at the Rimera Group’s Czech plant, a new finishing production of 50-500 mm valves was commissioned.
