OREANDA-NEWS. February 03, 2016.IRU attended a kick-off meeting of Business 20 (B20) China this week, where Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang delivered the keynote speech.

As a member of the B20 Trade & Investment Taskforce, IRU participated in a breakout session to propose concrete and actionable recommendations, including how to optimise regional trade agreements. The taskforce also looked at how Group of Twenty (G20) members can urge for speedier ratification of the World Trade Organization’s Trade Facilitation Agreement within the remaining G20 members.

IRU recommended that the most practical and actionable way to optimise regional trade agreements is through the implementation of global, intermodal UN trade facilitation and security instruments, such as the TIR Convention.
