In 2015, banks issued less auto loans by 41%
OREANDA-NEWS. February 02, 2016. Analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" and the National Bureau of Credit Histories (NBKI) conducted a joint study on the car loan market. According to the survey, in 2015 the number of car loans reduced by 41%, while the share of "credit" cars rose by 1.9 percentage points.
At the end of 2015 the number of cars that were bought on credit was 485.3 thousand units, down from the previous year by 41% (in 2014 - 823.4 thousand units). At the same time, the share of cars, bought on credit, was 37.1%, for the year it increased by 1.9 percentage points (in 2014 - 35.2%).
The largest share of car loans in 2015 was fixed in the Leningrad region (63.3%), where it was bought two cars by using the loan of three ones. In Udmurtia, the figure was 57% but in Adygeya, Mari El and Buryatia it exceeded 54%.
