OREANDA-NEWS. January 29, 2016. From the Russian model range of Lexus it was excluded hybrid hatchback CT 200h. Demand for it was so low: for five years it was managed to sell only 914 cars, and almost half of them had found customers for the first year due to the effect of novelty. But with the rising prices, the attractiveness of the model fell, and in the last year there were sold only five cars, says the publication "Auto Review".

In addition, in Russia it cannot be longer ordered hybrid sedan Lexus IS 300h, although the modification of IS 200t with a turbo engine is on sale. And from family GS at the market there was the only option GS 350 with aspirated V6 3.5 (317 hp): a basic version with the 2.5 engines and hybrid were excluded from the Russian range.

As previously "AUTOSTAT" reported, at the end of 2015 the Lexus brand set a new sales record in the Russian market by selling 20224 cars, which is more by 6% in compare with 2014 year. Thus, the market share of Lexus grew by 0.5% to 1.3%. The share of the brand in the premium segment reached 12.4%, which is more by 3.5% than in 2014. It has allowed Lexus to take the fourth place in the Russian premium segment.
