OREANDA-NEWS. Vagit Alekperov, President of PJSC LUKOIL, and Victor Tolokonsky, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region, signed a supplement agreement for 2016 to the cooperation agreement in Krasnoyarsk today.

The document provides for LUKOIL's financial support to construction of a boarding school for 250 students in Nosok village and a building that will host a gym and recreation facilities for children of Khatanga.

Vagit Alekperov and Victor Tolokonsky also discussed the issues of cooperation between the Company and the Government in development of the East Taymyr block a license for which was granted to LUKOIL in December 2015 for the term of 27 years.

"We consider it as an opportunity for development in a region which is new for LUKOIL. And, to some extent, it is a historical event for us since we never had any projects in East Siberia before. Today we visited the site of our new investment project with Victor Tolokonsky, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region," said President of PJSC LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov.

"Development of this oil block by LUKOIL is a very big and important project for Taymyr and for Khatanga town, in particular. As early as at this preliminary stage, new jobs will be created here, additional industrial facilities will be established. All that will facilitate the development of the infrastructure and transportation, including sea routes," noted Victor Tolokonsky, Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region.
