Deutsche Lufthansa announces resignation of Head of Corporate Communications
OREANDA-NEWS. The Head of Corporate Communications of Deutsche Lufthansa AG, Barbara Schädler, is leaving the company at her own request on March 31, 2016, to take on a new professional challenge. Schädler has been in charge of Corporate Communications since July 2013. The Executive Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG has appointed Andreas Bartels, the current Head of Media Communications, her successor. "We thank Barbara Schädler for her outstanding services: She successfully headed and consistently further developed Corporate Communications in times that were especially difficult for Lufthansa," said Carsten Spohr, CEO of Deutsche Lufthansa AG. "My fellow board members and I wish her all the very best for her private and professional future," Spohr continued. With Andreas Bartels, he said, Lufthansa has a successor from within its own ranks who enjoys great confidence both inside and outside of the company and is regarded as an expert on Lufthansa. Andreas Bartels has worked for Lufthansa since January 1, 2007, holding various functions in Corporate Communications. He worked previously as a press officer at Deutsche Bank AG.
