OREANDA-NEWS. The Schlatter Group (SIX Swiss Exchange: STRN) recorded in 2015 an order intake of CHF 72.9 million (2014: CHF 104.7 million) and realized net sales of CHF 83.2 million (2014: CHF 89.5 million). Per balance sheet date, the Group had an order backlog of CHF 31.9 million (31.12.2014: CHF 42.2 million).

These figures reflect the impact of the currency turmoil, the decline in the market for paper machine clothing and the impact of the collapse of steel prices on the market of equipment for the production of reinforced mesh.

Schlatter will conclude the 2015 financial year within the expectations communicated at the beginning of last year and report an operating loss in the mid single-digit million range.

At the Annual General Meeting of Schlatter Industries AG, the Board of Directors is to be supplemented by two new members. Nominated for election are Nicolas Mathys, co-founder and partner of Zug Finance AG, Baar, and Michael Hauser, CEO of Tornos, also a listed Swiss machine tool manufacturer. Nicolas Mathys has been for many years a major shareholder of the Schlatter Group. Michael Hauser has many years of industrial experience in mechanical and plant engineering. The Board is convinced that the two personalities will bring important impulse for a further sustainable development of the Schlatter Group.
