NEC showcases carrier solutions at Mobile World Congress 2016
OREANDA-NEWS. January 27, 2016. NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE: 6701) will showcase its advanced portfolio for helping telecom operators effectively monetize their assets and create new revenue streams by delivering a better customer experience, providing on demand solutions and leading innovations in the Internet of Things (IoT) at Mobile World Congress 2016 at the Fira Gran Via, Barcelona, February 22-25, in Hall 3, stand #3N10.
NEC flexibly provides cutting edge solutions that enable telecommunications operators to significantly improve customer experience, one of the most effective ways for driving profitability. At Mobile World Congress (MWC), NEC will showcase traffic management solutions, customer retention and crowd sourcing solutions as part of illustrating the superior customer experience that carriers can deliver through NEC.
Moreover, NEC enables telecom operators to expand their services beyond traditional connectivity into an on demand landscape based on virtualization technologies. With its broad range of software-defined networking (SDN) and network functions virtualization (NFV) solutions, including virtualized customer premises equipment (vCPE), virtualized evolved packet core (vEPC), transport SDN and management and orchestration (MANO), NEC provides customers with the flexibility they need to respond to changing demands by enabling automated, sophisticated orchestration and control of complex networks, thereby achieving operational efficiency.
Furthermore, NEC believes that the evolution of information and communications being driven by the IoT will create a social infrastructure in which the cyber world is integrated with the real world.
At MWC, NEC will showcase its solutions to provide secure IoT systems that stand up to cyberattacks by combining comprehensive security solutions with big data technologies, where changes in a system are identified in real time and compared with normal conditions to detect errors and SDN is used to automatically isolate abnormalities.
NEC further showcases its capabilities in protecting network resources with the participation of Dr. Anand Prasad, Executive Specialist and Chief Advanced Technologist, NEC Corporation, as a speaker in MWC 2016's Network Security Conference on Wednesday, February 24 from 11:00 AM in Hall 4, Auditorium 4.
Additional NEC solutions to be featured at MWC 2016 include: carrier data center infrastructure, virtual data center (vDC) solutions, Enterprise-RAN (E-RAN) solutions, advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) and image recognition technologies.
Mr. Takayuki Morita, executive vice president at NEC, commented, "Mobile World Congress is the ideal venue for NEC to showcase its solutions for helping telecom operators gain unprecedented control over the scale, scope and speed of their networks, helping to ensure a superior customer experience, deliver solutions on demand and take a leading role in the IoT era."
