OREANDA-NEWS. Total gas sales volume by Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. for the month of December 2015 came to about 1,329.853 million m3, down 2.9% from December 2014.

In the residential sector, volume totaled 308.505 million m3, down 5.6% from December 2014, due to higher average temperature, leading to the decreased demand for water-heating and air-conditioning.

In the business sector (consisting of commercial, public, and medical use), volume totaled 187.053 million m3, down 5.5% from December 2014, due to higher average temperature, leading to the decreased demand for water-heating and air-conditioning.

In the industrial sector, volume totaled 614.153 million m3, almost equal to that in December 2014 (down 0.5% from December 2014).

Volume for wholesale supply to other gas companies totaled 220.142 million m3, down 3.4% from December 2014, due to the decreased demand of the other companies.
