In 2015, the volume of the market of new LCV fell by 34%
OREANDA-NEWS. According to the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT", in 2015 the market volume of new light commercial vehicles in Russia fell compared to the year 2014 by 34.3% and it was 92.4 thousand cars.
More than 60% of the market was occupied by the cars of domestic brands GAZ and UAZ. The undisputed leader of the year was the GAZ with the volume of 38.4 thousand units (-32%). The indicator of UAZ was 20.3 thousand units, which is more by 3.7% than a year ago. We noted also that the Ulyanovsk brand, the only one in the top-10, showed a positive trend. German Mercedes closes the top three (8,9 thousand units; -14.5%), which was the best among foreign LCV. In the fourth place there is the domestic LADA, which together with the VIS (created on the basis of VAZ cars) occupied the market volume of 5.5 thousand units (-55.4%). The top-five of leaders includes also American Ford (4,3 thousand units; -51.3%).
