Boeing Maintenance Performance Toolbox Records Selected by Aeromexico
OREANDA-NEWS. January 25, 2016. Boeing (NYSE: BA) today announced that Aeromexico has signed an agreement to implement Boeing Maintenance Performance Toolbox Records to support maintenance operations for its Next-Generation 737, 767, 777, 787 and non-Boeing fleets.
The announcement came during Aviation Week’s MRO Latin America 2016 conference and exhibition in Lima, Peru. Aeromexico is the sixth airline to sign up for the popular new module since its launch in October 2015.
“We see great value, for both the airline and our customers, in solutions that improve operational efficiencies. Toolbox Records will not only help us streamline—through automation—the way we manage our maintenance information, it will ultimately help us in conjunction with process improvement and additional IT solutions to reduce costs,” said Jorge Jacome, Aeromexico Corporate SVP Maintenance & Engineering.
Boeing’s Maintenance Performance Toolbox suite delivers real-time access to information that technicians need to quickly resolve airplane maintenance issues. The Toolbox Records module provides an industry-standard platform to manage scanned and digitally produced maintenance and flight records. This record-keeping tool helps airlines improve maintenance workflow and further enhance the automation of processes and overall efficiency.
“Our customers are validating our assessment that maintenance processes are ready for simplification and automation,” said Rick Anderson, vice president of sales and marketing, Boeing Commercial Aviation Services.
“The Toolbox application offers an operational advantage for airlines seeking integrated solutions. From eliminating redundant processes to reducing maintenance delays, we are able to provide customers like Aeromexico with the foundation for establishing more efficient maintenance operations.”
More than 160 commercial operator customers currently use Boeing’s Maintenance Performance Toolbox suite. Boeing also offers access to records management capabilities for non-Toolbox customers through subsidiary AerData’s STREAM digital aircraft records application.
