OREANDA-NEWS. In three months of the "Children against cancer" programme UAH 138 thousand were raised and transferred to the account of charity initiative through UniCredit Bank’s branches.

These contributions of bank’s customers, collected in the period from October to December 2015, were used to purchase 106 units of medications for 52 children with cancer. In addition, in the frames of the project there was a St. Nicholas Day celebration in Mykolaiv boarding school for 145 orphans from 3 to 18 years of age. Also, the programme targeted 3 charitable foundations - "I hope and believe", "Pchilka", "Foundation of the South of Ukraine Development".

In the framework of the initiative, all customers of the bank get an opportunity to become benefactors by transferring change from cash transaction to the "Children against cancer" programme account. Donations in any amount can be made through cash desks in the bank’s branches throughout Ukraine. The collected funds are systematically directed to address purchase of medicines, auxiliary materials and necessary equipment to fight against child oncology. The project is carried out jointly with "Center of social projects of the future" International Charitable Foundation.
