OREANDA-NEWS. Ulyanovsk plant at the end of 2015 sold 48,739 vehicles, which is less by 2% compared with the previous year. As it was noted, in spite of a significant negative trend in the market in the last year, UAZ showed well results, by rising from 15th to 11th position in the total volume of sales in Russia, as well as it increased significantly its market share of all passenger and commercial vehicles up to 3%.

As the press service of UAZ informed, the leader by sales in 2015 was the SUV UAZ "Patriot", the volume of sales of which was 19,950 vehicles (-5.3%). This significant sales success of UAZ "Patriot" is provided by the launch of an updated version of the model in August of 2015. The changes affected the exterior and interior of SUV, there were also added the modern options.

During 2015 UAZ expanded its dealer network in Russia up to 191 sales units with the covering from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok. The market share was increased by UAZ also due to the work that the company implements constantly to improve the after-sales service and optimization of logistics processes. In 2015 in this direction there were made important steps. In Moscow region it was opened a modern logistics warehouse of spare parts, by which it was managed to establish a centralized supply of spare parts and to ensure availability of necessary parts at dealerships. In addition, the waiting time of delivery of new parts were cut for Moscow clients up to a day, and St. Petersburg deliveries - up to 2 days. In order to provide the customer with the modern level of service UAZ developed original branded spare parts. At the end of 2015 it was held 5 preventive service campaigns. At the end of the year it was introduced the extended warranty for the whole line of UAZ.
