OREANDA-NEWS. In 2015, the professionals of TATNEFT Company carried out a considerable amount of work to improve the environmental safety of the oil field facilities.

By the end of 2015, PJSC TATNEFT produced over 1,928 km of sour service pipes. Cathodic protection was installed at 1,007 wells and electrochemical protection was provided for 464 km of pipelines. More than 5,470 tons of highly efficient corrosion inhibitors were used for the protection of oilfield equipment and pipelines against corrosion.

Particular attention was traditionally paid to monitoring the environmental conditions in the Company’s operations area, preventing and reducing the negative environmental impact of crude oil production on all the ecosystem components. The efforts applied to protect the water bodies ensured stable maintenance of the performance benchmarks within the established standards.

The chemical and analytical laboratory of "UPTZH DLYA PPD" (Reservoir Pressure Maintenance Administration) alone performed 10,554 analyses of water samples from the surface and underground water bodies in 2015.

The atmospheric air control at the settlements located in the area of the PJSC TATNEFT’s activities was carried out in accordance with the approved schedule. 15,173 air samples were analyzed during 2015.

In 2015 PJSC TATNEFT for the 20th time running organized and conducted the annually held since 1995 contest "For the maintenance of the aesthetic condition of springs and water quality improvement". There are more than 500 springs cleared, drained and architecturally rehabilitated by the Company’s divisions within the territory of the Company’s operations.

The Integrated Health, Safety and Environment Management System of PJSC TATNEFT certified in 2006 once again successfully passed the recertification audit for compliance with the international standards ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSAS 18001: 2007.

The achievements of the Company to ensure environmental safety at crude oil production facilities in 2015 received awards of federal and republican contests.
