OREANDA-NEWS. Sberbank has launched an information service in the form of a bot (username - @SberbankBot), which is available to the users of the Telegram instant messaging application.

The bot can help you find nearby branches and cash machines, view current exchange rates, find out about special offers and promotions of the bank's partners. It can be accessed via a simple within the messenger.

In addition, the bot can respond to a number of text commands. For example, by sending the message "100 dollars", the bot will instantly display the equivalent sum in roubles. The bot can also be used to find out precious metals quotes: if the user sends the message "15 grams of gold" he or she will receive a reply listing the approximate price in roubles.

"We want to organically integrate our services into communication channels that are familiar to users. The Telegram bot is an important step in that direction. We plan to add new functions and integrate into other social networking utilities too," commented Svyatoslav Ostrovsky, Head of Sberbank's Bank XXI Department.
