Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company of Vietnam has built strategic business alliance with Vietnam Post Corporation
OREANDA-NEWS. Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company of Vietnam, Limited (“DLVN”), a subsidiary owned by the Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company, Limited (President: Koichiro Watanabe), has built strategic business alliance with Vietnam Post Corporation (“Vietnam Post”) under the control of Ministry of Information and Communications (“MIC”). A 15-year exclusive business partnership agreement relating to life insurance products has concluded on January 18, 2016, and the ceremony to celebrate the business alliance has been held on the same day in Hanoi City.
Vietnam Post is an enterprise owned by the country with 11,000 branch offices and 40,000 employees throughout the nation, having the sales experiences in insurance products. Through the tie-up, by leveraging the Vietnam Post’s extensive network, it is now possible to sell life insurance products of DLVN exclusively for 15 years. The preparation will be proceeded targeting the start from April 2016.
DLVN, celebrating 10th year in business, has Vietnam’s 4th largest market share (premium income base as of end of 2014) of life insurance industry, with growing performance increased by 27%, which exceeds the level of market growth (of average premium income between 2007 and 2014 increased by 17%). It still constantly pursue growth in excess of the business performance as well as improvement of the market position by selling the life insurance products together with Vietnam Post.
By fully utilizing the global tripolar system that includes Japan, the North America and Asia Pacific, Dai-ichi Life Group will continue to further strengthen the insurance business, and create the sustainable value.
