OREANDA-NEWS. January 15, 2016. http://www.kmu.gov.ua/img/1x1.gifThis week there is expected a launch of the first experimental train on the route Ukraine-Georgia-Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan, which would allow to significantly reduce costs for delivery of Ukrainian products to these markets. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk at a Government meeting.

This route, according to the Head of the Government, will enable Ukrainian economy to find an alternative way for supplying goods to the markets of the countries, "which have always been Ukrainian, but due to the Russian transit and trade embargo it is now extremely difficult to deliver these goods".

He informed that the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine and the Ukrzaliznytsia were having a meeting on this subject in Baku. The Prime Minister had also had talks with Prime Ministers of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

"Our goal is to have a single through rate, to maximally load this train. Thus, if we load it, the transportation cost of Ukrainian goods will be much lower", stressed the Prime Minister.

"After the signing of appropriate agreements, on Friday we launch the first experimental train and prolong active work with our partners to actually build an alternative path for supplying Ukrainian goods", said Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
