OREANDA-NEWS. Sberbank and the Federal Customs Service (FCS) have signed an agreement on electronically exchanging documents for pension payments made to individuals who served at customs agencies of the Russian Federation and to members of their families. The agreement was signed by Herman Gref, CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank and Andrey Belyaninov, Head of the FCS.

Documents will be exchanged entirely in electronic format with all safeguards needed to ensure confidentiality.

"Sberbank provides pension payment services to eight security and law enforcement agencies. The Federal Customs Service is the first to fully automate this area of cooperation with Sberbank and transition to modern paper-free technology for exchanging data and accounting pension payments," commented Herman Gref. "We are delighted that our partner is moving with the times. We hope that in time other partners will also adopt the paper-free approach."

In 2015, Sberbank and the FCS signed an agreement defining both parties' activities to develop modern information and communication technologies in customs and banking.
