Volkswagen Group China maintains market leadership in 2015

The Volkswagen brand continues to lead the passenger car market in China (including Hong Kong) with deliveries of 2.63 (2.76; -4.6 per cent) million units from January to December, bolstered by results in the fourth quarter of 2015. Throughout China, 5 out of the 10 best-selling cars are produced by Volkswagen brand.
Audi confirmed its position as the most successful premium brand in China (including Hong Kong) in 2015, ending the year with 570,889 customers, slightly below the comparative figure for 2014 (-1.4 per cent). 60,197 units in December represent the second-best month in the company’s history in this market. In December the new Audi Q7 entered the market. Various new models will follow over the coming months. By the summer of 2016, successors will be launched for models that represent around 60 percent of total Audi sales in China.
SKODA maintained market share in the fourth quarter of 2015, posting final year-end deliveries of 281,707 (281,412) vehicles, a 0.1 per cent rise over figures for 2014.
Luxury sports car brand Porsche closed 2015 on a strong trajectory with 23.6 per cent growth compared to 2014 figures, through deliveries of 58,009 automobiles. Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles delivered 3,860 (4,453; -13.3 per cent) units across Mainland China and Hong Kong from January to December. With deliveries of 278 cars, Lamborghini enjoyed 17.8 per cent growth for the year. Bentley experienced deliveries of 1,615 vehicles for the twelve months of 2015.
