OREANDA-NEWS. On January 8, SOCAR and BP signed an addendum to the agreement in support of development of national personnel to organize 10-month training courses for 40 young workers from Garadagh region at the Gobustan Regional Training. Khalik Mammadov, SOCAR Vice President for HR, IT and regulations and Bakhtiyar Aslanbeyli, Vice President of BP-Azerbaijan signed the document. The 10-month training will continue until December 31, 2016 within BP Sustainable Development Initiatives and involve 40 young oil workers offering them courses for operators of processing systems, mechanical and electric technicians. Gobustan Regional Training Center will create opportunities for the trainees to use modern equipment, training aids and simulant equipment, as well as to practice at the SOCAR’s enterprises. SOCAR Vice President Khalik Mammadov said the company was placing high emphasis on training of professional oil workers and implementing comprehensive training programs. BP-Azerbaijan Vice President Bakhtiyar Aslanbeyli highly appreciated SOCAR training centers’ work and said they would develop cooperation on personnel training.
