OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2016. Furthering our legacy as the world leader in electronic warfare (EW) and on the heels of being selected to provide EW upgrades for more than 400 USAF F-15 fighter aircraft as part of the Eagle Passive Active Warning Survivability System (EPAWSS) program, on November 12th, we were selected to develop the Radio Frequency Countermeasure (RFCM) EW system for the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command’s C-130J fleet.

This selection by the United States Air Force is expected to be worth more than \\$20 million over the next 12 months and well positions the company for the next phase in the program, of which the life cycle of the contract is expected to exceed \\$400 million.

Designed to be integrated into both the MC-130J Commando II and the AC-130J Ghostrider aircraft, the RFCM system will support the varied and critical Special Operation Forces missions including armed over-watch, refueling helicopters in a denied territory, and close air support and interdiction missions in the most sensitive and hostile territories. Fulfilling mission needs in any environment, the RFCM system provides advanced electronic warfare options.

The system will improve aircraft protection with enhanced situational awareness including precise geo-location of emitters and self-protection solutions to detect and defeat both surface and airborne threats in signal-dense and highly contested environments
