OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2016. Gillette® [NYSE: PG] is celebrating the importance of shielding by teaming up with NFL offensive linemen John Urschel of the Baltimore Ravens, Trent Williams of the Washington Redskins, and Rodger Saffold of the St. Louis Rams to spotlight the protectors of the gridiron in the lead-up to Super Bowl 50 in the San Francisco Bay Area. These are the unsung heroes who don’t throw Hail Marys or take the ball to the house. What they do is shield and protect every play and the face of the team, and that’s something Gillette Fusion® ProShield™ can get behind – with a new cartridge that features lubrication before and after the blades to shield faces from irritation during every shave.

Throughout the NFL Playoffs, Gillette will champion these offensive linemen and the protection they provide by shifting the spotlight and finally giving them the chance to dance – literally – by inviting them to submit a signature dance video on Twitter that celebrates those who shield on the field with the hashtag #ShieldMove. To kick things off, the three NFL athletes have already showcased their very own #ShieldMove dance to spark some inspiration. Check out Urschel’s “Awkwardly Sensual Uh Uh”, Williams’ “The Wall”, and Saffold’s “Forcefield”.

Between now and January 23, Gillette is inviting offensive linemen, coaches, and fans from all walks of life to join in on the dance action and share short videos of their own signature #ShieldMove, and as videos are submitted online, Urschel, Williams, and Saffold will be watching and selecting some of their favorites to review, retweet, and name live on Twitter.

“Whether it’s shielding your teammates on the field or shielding from irritation while you shave with the new Gillette Fusion ProShield, great all-around protection is important when looking and performing your best,” said Greg Via, Gillette’s global director of sports marketing. “No one understands that more than offensive linemen, so we’re excited to team up with NFL greats John Urschel, Trent Williams and Rodger Saffold to spotlight the protectors of the gridiron.”

“My entire career has been centered on shielding the quarterback and providing protection on every play – that’s what we do as offensive linemen, but we do tend to fly a little bit under the radar,” said John Urschel of the Baltimore Ravens. “Fans might be surprised to see that some of us actually have some fun moves to show off, so I’m excited to join Gillette Fusion ProShield in finally giving my fellow offensive linemen and all of those who shield the chance to dance.”
