OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2016. Ford closed 2015 with a market share growth driven especially by New Ka, Focus and Fusion sales performance. With 10,4% of participation, Ford gained 1 percentage point compared to last year and was the only automaker among the traditional OEMs that did not lose market share considering a sharp sales decline in the entire automotive industry.

Ford Ka registered the best result and was the leader of the market among the 1.0-liter models, which represent the biggest sales volume of Brazilian industry. Focus was also the leader of the middle-size hatchbacks, while the Fusion kept this leadership in the C-D segment.

“To conquer share during this period of great competition and general decline in market volumes is proof of the value, innovation and technology offered by the new global line of Ford’s vehicles”, says Guy Rodriguez, Ford’s marketing and sales director.
