OREANDA-NEWS. JSC "Uzbekenergo" announced an international tender to select a general contractor for the construction of "turnkey" new thermal power plant with total capacity 900 MW with two units of 450 MW combined cycle power plant in Turakurgan district Namangan region on 29 December, 2015. The deadline for submission of applications is till 30 March, 2016.

The project is financed by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) loan, Fund for Reconstruction and Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and company’s own resources.
