OREANDA-NEWS. The management of methane degazation and utilization (MMDaU) a servicing company of SUEK-Kuzbass recieved an IDS-90 drilling machine directional with DGS (Drill Guidance System) production of GE Mining Industrea (Australia).

The machine purchased under the investment program aimed at ensuring degassing reservoirs of the S.M. Kirov mine. Equipment cost is 75 million rubles.

The machine is designed for directional drilling of wells to a depth of 1000 meters or more. Navigation system (DGS) provides a control over the well's path and drilling parameters in real time while drilling. All information collected during the drilling process can be rewritten at any time on removable media and brought to the surface for further analysis on a PC.

The system design is explosion-proof and equipped with an emergency shutdown when exceeding the maximum permissible level of gas.The machine is made on tracks that allows mobile movement in mines.
