OREANDA-NEWS. Nizhnekamsk SSC Tire Factory of the TATNEFT’s tire manufacturing Complex has reached its design level of production having manufactured 100 thousand tires.

Production of solid steel cord tires is one of the promising areas of the PJSC TATNEFT’s tire manufacturing business. The factory produces tires for assembly of all types of trucks, buses and semitrailers. 

In 2015 the share of the SSC KAMA tires in the total all-steel tires production in Russia accounted for 61 percent with the demand for products exceeding the supply by half. The number of SSC tires sold in 2015 amounted to 875 thousand pieces. The advantages of the PJSC TATNEFT’s petrochemical Complex products have been appreciated not only by the enterprises of Nizhnekamsk, but also  by large consumers in Tatarstan and Russia, including "KAMAZ", "NEFAZ", "Tonar", Magnet and Mosgortrans. The SSC tires are used in 31 countries of the world and they have repeatedly become winners and nominees of the "Best Goods and Services of the Republic of Tatarstan" and "100 best goods of Russia" contests.

The quality and performance wise the KAMA solid steel cord tires outrun the previous generation of combined tires several times. The SSC tires are suitable for use in all driving conditions from highways and motorways to cross-country and dirt roads.

The eco-friendly solid steel cord tires have high speed characteristics, life period up to 300 thousand kilometers with the possibility of double retreading. The service life is increased by the rubber mixture components that reduce the tire overheating in motion. The special design of the SSC KAMA tires allows saving fuel up to 8% and increasing the vehicles’ load capacity up to 8%.

The beginning of 2015 witnessed the start of operating a new joint venture with Marangoni SpA (Italy) in the Nizhnekamsk SSC Tire Factory dealing with rehabilitation of the SSC tires. Cold tire recapping at "KaMaRetred" company enables full use of the tire carcass potential and to ensure such initial characteristics of the new product as road-holding, safety level and fuel saving.
