OREANDA-NEWS. The majority of car owners (21%) that are planning to buy a new car is going to spend on it from 1 to 1.5 million rubles. These data were obtained by the agency "AUTOSTAT" during the preparation of the report "Consumer preferences of Russian car owners: the results of 2015, expectations of 2016". However, the real market data indicate that this price range has 16% of the market of new cars.

People who want to spend on a car from 400 to 600 thousand rubles have a share of 19%, but 29% of people actually bought for that amount. The situation is similar with the price range from 600 to 800 thousand - 17% respondents are going to spend this amount and the real buyers, also have the share more than 26%. Among those, who want to buy a car at a price from 2.5 to 3 million rubles – we found 3%, and there are 4% of actual buyers.

Another trend was noted among people who want to buy a car cheaper (from 200 to 400 thousand rubles) - 4%, and people who really bought at a price – have a share of 0,4% of the market. Perhaps, this is the potential of the market ...

One in seven respondents (14%) would buy a new car for the price from 800 to 1 million rubles. In the market the share of buyers in this price range was smaller - 9%.

The same trend is typical for the price range from 1.5 to 2 million rubles (want - 11%, buy - 8%) and for a price range from 2 to 2.5 million rubles (want to buy - 5%, buy - 3%).

And only buyers of new cars that worth more than 3 million rubles are unchanged with their desires - 6% want and buy a car at this price.
