The information sharing day, the final one this year, was held in JSC Atomredmetzoloto
OREANDA-NEWS. According to a tradition, a video address of Sergey Kirienko, the general director of Rosatom State Corporation, was presented to the audience at the beginning of the event, in which he voiced key achievements of the corporation and its divisions focusing on problem points and outlined priorities for the next year. The New Year greeting from Sergey Vladilenovich and the “nuclear” youth became a bright and memorable moment for all.
Then Vladimir Verkhovtsev, the director general of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co., took the floor. In his speech he summarized results of the outgoing year and told employees about key work areas and tasks for 2016. He noted that a key 2015 achievement was a 11% reduction of the finished product cost at the flagship plant of the holding – PJSC PIMCU: “Since 2013 we have been implementing the program for reaching the loss-free PIMCU performance level, this year we secured 2014 results when we were able to stop the growth of losses accumulated at the plant for years”.
Another, perhaps, the most significant event for the division was launching of the sulphuric acid plant in JSC Khiagda”. Commissioning of this high-tech facility marked completion of the first construction stage at the plant which already in the years to come will enable to raise output there to design 1000 tons of uranium per annum. Vladimir Verkhovtsev emphasized that Khiagda is a “hope” of both the holding and the entire uranium mining industry – state-of-the-art plant engaged in mining by the cost efficient and environmentally friendly in-situ leaching method. The developed production and raw materials base of Khiagda will assure mining at a competitive production cost for decades to come.
Mr. Verkhovtsev focused on team successes as well, by means of which production of finished products with new qualitative characteristics started in JSC Dalur. “Commissioning of the drying facility in Dalur enabled to raise productivity of the entire nuclear fuel cycle. Now, after successful project completion we will continue this work in Khiagda as well”, - noted Verkhovtsev.
Mr. Verkhovtsev thanked the audience for fruitful work, due to which the mining plan was implemented by 100%, all plans and tasks were implemented. Congratulating the team on the upcoming New Year, he noted that the year will be a difficult one and expressed confidence that tasks set by the corporation will be implemented by joint efforts despite difficulties.
Then Vladislav Matus, deputy general director, delivered a speech and presented a number of diversification projects connected with the development of holding’s new business lines. He named implementation of joint projects with Chinese partners as the most promising one – construction of a cement plant, coal into diesel fuel processing plant, wood processing facility in Krasnokamensk. “Not only will we be able to expand out competences but also to make primary production cheaper – significant product part is planned for application in PJSC PIMCU”, - summed up Mr. Matus.
Stanislav Anikeev, HR director, interested the audience by telling about successes of our specialists at industrial and All-Russian contests submitting data of the personnel involvement study and other work areas. The audience noted information that every wisher may file an application for participation in “Rosatom’s Man of the Year” contest.
Aleksander Burutin, adviser to the general director, elaborated on cooperation of the holding with state authorities, under which large work for the establishment of the advanced development area in the town of Krasnokamensk is being held.
The presentation of charitable initiatives of the company, which are often authored by non-indifferent employees, got an overall ovation. Thus, Anna Karacheva, chief specialist of the Directorate for corporate legal relations, initiated the campaign for raising New Year gifts to elderly people from care homes which found my responses in ARMZ.
At the end, questions were traditionally voiced to management - discussion was deep and frank. Leaving the hall many people noted that the information sharing day is a wonderful forum for a close dialogue directly with company’s managers.
