Pakistan State Oil delegates visit SOCAR
OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2015. SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev received a delegation led by Sheikh Imran ul Haque, CEO & Managing Director, Pakistan State Oil (PSO).
Welcoming the guests, Rovnag Abdullayev underlined the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan and said mutual visits have contributed to the development of bilateral relations. Expressing gratitude for cordial welcome, Sheikh Imran ul Haque said they were very pleased to visit Azerbaijan and stressed the developing relations between the two countries. SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev briefed the guests about the history of Azerbaijani oil and gas industry and the achievements of the energy strategy founded by National Leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully developed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
He also spoke about the SOCAR’s global and regional projects and said steadily entering the international energy market the company was also implementing successful investment programs abroad. Informing his Azerbaijani counterpart about the activity of Pakistan State Oil, Sheikh Imran ul Haque said they were interested in cooperation with SOCAR and would use current opportunities to elaborate joint projects.

The meeting focused on prospects of cooperation in various fields of oil and gas industry, as well as oil and oil products trading. The parties discussed other issues of mutual interest.
