OREANDA-NEWS. Capgemini, one of the world’s foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, today announced that Sheetal Chawla has been honored with the Rising Star Award by the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE). Sheetal is among the 2015 Women of Excellence Award recipients honored for their business accomplishments and leadership, and joins an esteemed list of winners from companies including Walmart, Johnson & Johnson, Intel and EMC. Chawla is a principal in the Life Sciences practice of Capgemini Consulting, the global strategy and transformation consulting arm of the Capgemini Group.

Chawla leads the North American Life Sciences Digital and Commercial Strategy Practice for Capgemini Consulting. In her role, she advises clients on commercial, launch and patient strategies, digital transformation, and portfolio optimization, among other topics. Chawla has more than 12 years of experience in business strategy, pharmaceutical market analytics, marketing and business development, and management consulting. Prior to joining Capgemini Consulting, Chawla was a group vice president at Cline Davis and Mann (Omnicom Group) and worked in various roles of increasing responsibility at Genentech.

“I’m honored to be recognized by NAFE and humbled to be included among this year’s winners that are leading the way for their organizations and simultaneously paving a path for other women to succeed-this is truly a group that represents the business case for diversity,” said Chawla. “This recognition is also a testament to Capgemini Consulting’s ability to externalize our commitment to diversity, which in turn contributes to our leadership in developing innovative approaches to advise clients about growth and strategy, especially through digital transformation.”

NAFE is one of the country’s largest associations for women professionals and business owners. Its mission is to provide resources – through education, networking, and public advocacy – to empower its members to achieve both career and personal success. It is a unit within Working Mother Media, the publisher of Working Mother magazine.

“The impressive 2015 NAFE Women of Excellence awardees include individuals who are exceptional at their jobs and notable for ensuring the success of women and girls,” said Dr. Betty Spence, president of NAFE. “These awards spotlight unsung heroes both for their achievements and for their commitment to gender equity.”
