OREANDA-NEWS. December 25, 2015. Investor Day, the traditional final exam for the participants of the Startup Academy, was held at the Campus of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO. Eleven authors of the best startup projects, the participants of the eighth class of the Programme, presented the results of their work to the panel of investors and representatives of the leading venture funds, including Svarog Capital, TN Capital, Impulse VC, Flint Capital, SD Ventures, StartTrack, Almaz Capital, and others. The jury also included business school graduates Alexandr Kvak, Head of the SKOLKOVO Entrepreneurial Community; Taliya Minullina, Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency; and Alexandr Zaitsev, General Director and owner of RusRating Agency. Following the meeting, the jury determined the most promising and attractive startups in terms of investment.

Fibrum, a company engaged in the manufacture of mobile head-mounted VR displays and the development of mobile VR applications for them, developed by Alexey Svirsky, was announced the best project. Maxim Malov, the creator of the Papaya Cloudcloud gaming service, took the second place. The third place was given to Natalia Kozlova for her project 4Fresh, which is a multi-brand online store of natural cosmetics and food products.

During the event, the following persons also presented their projects to the investors: Vladimir Mamut, the creator of Lucky Child, a Russian manufacturer of designer clothing for children from birth to three years of age; Alexandr Kolosov, the creator of Mr. Pit, a network of healthy fast food; Olga Tomushkina, the creator of Abitant, an online store of designer furniture and decoration items; Olga Andrushevich, the author of iTrener project, an online service of consultation on sport and healthy eating; Alexandra Rumyantseva, the author of the concept for organising children's space for the B2B Babyzon market; Roman Makarov, the author of Golod.me, a food express delivery service in Moscow; Tatiana Akulich, a co-author of the Alternative Milk project for the production of natural milk from vegetable raw materials; and Ivan Golovatyuk, the author of the Activille project for the creation of dietary supplements.

The event was attended by more than 80 guests—investors, business angels, entrepreneurs, and managers who are students and graduates of the business school. At the beginning of the meeting, the participants were welcomed by Andrey Sharonov, the Dean of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO, who wished the graduates of the Startup Academy to obtain maximum practical benefit from this important lesson for the further implementation of their business ideas.

The Investor Day is the traditional final exam for the participants of the Startup Academy. The authors of projects have three minutes to pitch their ideas, after which they answer the questions asked by the experts who, in their turn, determine the most promising startups for potential investment and further development.
