OREANDA-NEWS. Due to the decrease by more than 30% in equity capital of Foreign Economic Industrial Bank Limited or Vneshprombank Ltd. (Registration No. 3261) against its maximum value reached within the past 12 months, and its simultaneous violation of one of required ratios established by the Bank of Russia, in compliance with Article 189.26 of Federal Law 'On Insolvency (Bankruptcy)' the Bank of Russia appointed a provisional administration to the credit institution for a six-month period starting 18 December 2015. In its decision-making the Bank of Russia is guided by the real-time information on the bank's liquidity and quality of assets.

The key task of the provisional administration is to hold inspection of the bank aimed at determining its financial standing

The powers of shareholders connected with their participation in the authorised capital and the powers of executive bodies of Vneshprombank Ltd. are suspended for the period of activity of provisional administration.

During the activity of the provisional administration, the Bank of Russia will take measures to protect the creditors' interests based on the assessment of the bank's assets and liabilities.
