OREANDA-NEWS. Continental tire plant in Kaluga has produced 3 million tires after two years from the date of the official opening of the company.

As the press service of "Continental Kaluga" informed, the plant in Kaluga continues to increase steadily the production even in a difficult economic situation in the country. In 2015, the company doubled the production volume compared with the previous year, by producing about 2 million tires. According to preliminary forecasts of the company, in 2016 the volume of production will continue to grow. More than 200 types of tires of Kaluga production are already available as in the Russian market, so in 15 CIS countries, Europe, Scandinavia and Asia. Currently, Continental's tire production in Kaluga employs more than 950 employees.

A new step in the development of the plant in 2015 was the expansion of sales channels. Supplies of Kaluga tires were started to conveyors of such automobile manufacturers as Ford, AvtoVAZ and Nissan. Work with foreign markets is held: at the moment the products of company are exported to 15 foreign countries: Belarus, Ukraine, Scandinavia countries, Germany, France, Belgium, Spain, the UK, Italy, Portugal, Poland and Turkey. In 2016 it is planned the further expand of sales channels and developing of new markets.
